My senior capstone explored the dangers of puppy mills through two connected projects. In the fall, I created a functional clock using laser-cut acrylic layers to create stacked dog paws, representing the overcrowding in these facilities. In spring 2026, I expanded the concept into an interactive exhibition featuring stacked cages, with empty cages representing dogs that pass away in puppy mills and interactive elements providing information about the issue.

This project showed me how design can be used to bring awareness to issues people may overlook and allowed me to bring together everything I learned throughout my four years at ASU.
